Robit, Sotreq Cat in Brazilian team-up

Drilling consumables company Robit and Cat dealer Sotreq have signed a distribution deal for the latter to represent Robit and its products in Brazil.

Robit CEO Arto Halonen and Sotreq CEO Marcelo Orberg were on hand for the signing of the deal, which both said will support Robit’s goal to expand the company’s market coverage and strengthen its distributor network.

“Brazil, as a leading economy in Latin America and a major mining country, offers a huge opportunity in this sense,” they said.

Halonen noted that its cooperation with Sotreq, which will bring together high-quality products with Sotreq’s strong presence, service and customer base, will provide customers in Brazil with a strong partner for their drilling consumables needs.

Added Orberg: “We believe in the power of collaboration and the strength that comes from companies working together towards a common goal. We are ready to conquer new challenges and continue our journey of growth in the Brazilian market. We are very confident in the expansion of underground mining. For this, it is essential to add technology to the activity, with state-of-the-art accessories, which add productivity to our customers’ business.”

Robit’s range includes top hammer, down the hole (DTH) and geotechnical solutions.

Sotreq, an official Cat dealership with more than 50 branches distributed in more than 90% of the national territory, serves mining as well as construction, agribusiness, energy, forestry, industrial and the oil and gas and maritime market segments.
