Continental’s group sector ContiTech has launched EcoFlex and EcoFlex Plus textile conveyor belts in South America, expanding its portfolio of high-performance conveying solutions built on advanced material expertise.

Designed for use in demanding industrial environments, the all-purpose textile belts deliver durability, consistent performance and long service life. The belts feature an optimized construction that reflects ContiTech’s focus on material-driven innovation, application-specific engineering and sustainability.

EcoFlex and EcoFlex Plus were developed as sustainability-focused solutions, leveraging advanced fiber and carcass technologies. By transitioning from polyamide (nylon) to High Energy Polyester (HEP), this innovation reduces CO₂ emissions at the material level while maintaining robust mechanical performance.

This advancement contributes to up to a 32% reduction in CO₂ emissions (PCF) at the carcass level compared to conventional textile constructions, while maintaining strength, flexibility, and operational efficiency.

“Our goal is to be the customer’s first choice for material-driven solutions,” said Guilherme Santos, South America product manager, ContiTech Industrial Solutions Americas. “EcoFlex and EcoFlex Plus reflect our deep expertise in polymers, industrial textiles and conveyor belts, as well as our commitment to sustainability and to developing solutions tailored to our customers’ operational needs. Customer centricity is a key driver of our product development strategy, with a focus on close collaboration, application knowledge and long-term performance optimization.”

EcoFlex and EcoFlex Plus belts are now available in South America.
