Newmont Mining has selected lifting systems supplier Boom Logistics for a contract at its Boddington gold operation in Western Australia.
The five-year contract is expected to generate revenue of A$60 million. It will be effective in the fourth quarter of this year.
The details of the systems to be utilised weren’t disclosed.
Boom CE Ben Pieyre said the deal builds upon the relationship the company already has with Newmont, for which it has executed other large project work.
“[We] are continuing to see a strong operating environment across our core markets and remain actively engaged in discussions for further work,” he said.
