Aumund of São Paulo and Germany-headquartered Schade Lagertechnik recently teamed up for their newest purchase order: the delivery of a Schade stacker for an iron ore operation in the Minas Gerais state, Brazil.
While neither identified the customer, the mine’s plant is to the southeast of Belo Horizonte and will be designed with an output capacity of 1,800 tonnes per hour.
Aumund officials said the decisive factor for success in this project was the companies’ degree of worldwide integration and cooperation.
“Schade took over the basic design, the calculation and the constructive design of the setter,” the pair said. “The local team of Aumund Brazil … took care of the detailed engineering as well as the procurement of the equipment parts and the electrical engineering with the intensive support of the Schade experts from Germany.”
The stacker is scheduled for delivery next summer.
