Cidi has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with industrial tech firm Schaeffler to work together on heavy-duty vehicle electrification and automation built on distributed electric drive systems.
The partnership will cover the development of efficient, reliable, and scalable E/E architectures for autonomous trucks, along with distributed control technologies designed to enhance dynamic control precision and stability.
Together, the companies said they will deliver real-time monitoring and early warnings for managing vehicle health through the lifecycle, supporting end-to-end system integration and validation to ensure compatibility, reliability, and readiness for deployment.
“By combining Schaeffler’s electromechanical expertise with CiDi’s autonomous driving and V2X capabilities, we are engineering advanced solutions ready for a new generation of autonomous electric trucks,” CiDi officials said.
