Onslow Iron project resumes haulage following accident

Australian miner Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) confirmed 24 March that haulage operations at its Onslow Iron complex in Western Australia resumed on 21 March following a road train accident earlier this month.

Officials said the resumption followed constructive discussions with WorkSafe WA regarding controls and risk mitigation. WorkSafe LA is part of the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

MinRes remains on track for a 1Q26 completion of its previously announced works program to upgrade the haul road.

The company also confirmed that its transhipper, MinRes Rosily, commenced operations at the Port of Ashburton on 22 March. The move will allow it to up its transhipping capacity to 28 million tonnes annually.
