Monadelphous secures Rio Tinto, Newmont contracts

Engineering company Monadelphous has been awarded new construction and maintenance contracts in the resources and infrastructure sectors valued at more than $110 million.

In the resources sector, the company won a contract for the provision of electrical and instrumentation construction services at Rio Tinto’s Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project near Dampier in Western Australia, with work expected to be completed in mid-2026.

Monadelphous also secured a five-year extension to its existing contract providing general mechanical and electrical maintenance services at Newmont’s gold operations in Boddington, Western Australia, and Tanami, Northern Territory. The company has been providing these services since 2015.

In the infrastructure sector, McConnell Dowell Constructors and B.M.D. Constructions in a Joint Venture awarded Monadelphous a contract to provide electrical and instrumentation works associated with the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline in Central Queensland.
