Majestic Gold Corp. has resumed operations and production at the Denggezhuang (DGZ) underground mine, located within its Mujin gold project in the eastern Shandong Province of China, after a mandatory shutdown in February.
The low-cost junior gold producer announced on February 10 that the Yantai Emergency Management Bureau told all gold mining operations in Yantai to cease production immediately until further notice. The suspension was in response to a serious accident that occurred on February 7 at an unrelated third-party operation in Zhaoyuan City.
Given the relatively short duration of the production suspension, Majestic Gold does not expect the interruption to have a material impact on its annual gold production for 2026.
