In April, the fabrication team at Liebherr-Australia’s Perth facility in Western Australia celebrated its 100th bucket fabrication. The bucket was delivered to an unnamed iron ore operation in the Pilbara region and was fitted to an R 9600 excavator.
“This milestone is more than just a number – it’s a symbol of sustained excellence. Each bucket has represented countless hours of planning, hands-on expertise and a shared belief in doing things the right way,” said David Shaddick, fabrication supervisor for Liebherr-Australia’s Perth operation.
“Guided by the team’s core philosophy, ‘Do it once, do it right and make it last,’ the team has delivered every rebuild to the highest standard, meeting strict timelines, budget targets and performance expectations.”
The Perth facility provides comprehensive aftersales support services to customers throughout Western Australia. The team not only repairs and refurbishes components for Liebherr’s entire range of excavators but also supports Liebherr mining trucks and dozers in the region.
Over the past decade, the Perth team – which totals 25 permanent staff, including 5 apprentices – has maintained an impeccable record with zero major reworks or failures, highlighting the integrity of their processes and the strength of their work quality.
