Komatsu, through its wholly owned subsidiary in Australia, has acquired iVolve Holdings. The acquisition will enable Komatsu to globally deploy iVolve’s fleet management system, which has a unique IoT platform, to further contribute to improving safety and productivity at customers’ workplaces.
iVolve’s strength lies in the development and sales of fleet management systems for small to mid-tier miners, contractors and quarries. The company has achieved optimal operation management at customers’ sites in Australia and North America.
After the completion of the acquisition, Komatsu said iVolve will continue to provide its services as an independent group company. iVolve co-founders Kim Parascos and David Eagles will continue in their current roles as CEO and CTO respectively, ensuring continuity in product development and customer relationships.
“As a Komatsu brand, we aim to widen our market presence, elevate our product line, and preserve flexibility for our customers. Our existing customers will also benefit from this new alignment, as we leverage the expertise, commitment and reach of Komatsu to improve our offering,” said Parascos.
