Canadian-based, Papua New Guinea-focused K92 Mining has appointed David Medilek as its president and chief operating officer.
Medilek joined K92 in 2019 and was most recently president. Prior to that he was the company’s vice president of business development and investor relations.
His career has also included positions with Macquarie Group, Cormark Securities and Barrick Gold.
K92 has also selected Chris Kinver to its vice president projects and engineering seat. Kinver also joined K92 in 2019, and most recently held the position as the company’s project director for the Kora Expansion project.
The promotion of Medilek and Kinver are part of an organizational restructure designed to enhance the operational, technical and project execution capacity of the company.
Finally, the gold, copper and silver miner has announced the departure of Warren Uyen as chief operating officer.
