ICPC 2031 to be held in the U.S.

The international organizing committee of the International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) has accepted the Coal Preparation Society of America’s proposal to serve as host of the XXIII ICPC event, making the venue for the gathering Lexington, also home to CoalProTec.

The XXI International Coal Preparation Congress was held in Sun City, South Africa, in October. The congress happens every three years; it will be held in China in 2028.

The 2010 congress also was held in Lexington.

This will more than double the attendance of the CoalProTec technical program, with 60-plus presentations held over four days, and the exhibition will also expand with additional foreign companies on the floor.

“Six years from now may seem like a long time, but it will take a monumental effort to put on a world class congress,” organizers said.

“Thanks to the CPSA board of directors for committing to bring the best in the world back to the USA.”
