Siemens Australia has appointed Peter Halliday as its new chairman and chief executive officer effective 1 September.
Halliday, who is now serving as senior vice president at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, will replace current chairman and CEO Jeff Connolly, who is departing the company on 31 August after a 37-year tenure.
Halliday has been at Siemens for 24 years, holding senior roles within the company in Australia, Asia and Europe. Prior to relocating back to his home country of Australia, Peter was the global head of Siemens’ Building Performance and Sustainability division operating in Switzerland.
“Peter brings a wealth of experience across various technology fields including engineering, project management, sales, business development, portfolio and senior management,” the company said.
