Fatal accident at Adriatic’s Rupice mine

England-based precious and base metals developer Adriatic Metals has reported that a fatal accident occurred on 14 August near the rescue station at the Rupice mine in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

An employee of a local subcontractor sustained fatal injuries after their vehicle overturned. No other individuals were seriously injured in the accident.

“The local authorities are conducting an immediate review of the incident, and we will be reinforcing our commitment to a safe working environment through improvements in risk management and all the safety procedures of our contractors,” said CEO Laura Tyler.

The Rupice mine is part of the Vareš silver-zinc project.
