Danfoss Power Solutions recently took the first shovel of dirt from the site of its upcoming new 27,000-square-metre greenfield plant in Talegaon, Pune, India, one component of its effort to grow in the country.
Danfoss, which is investing in India in the coming three years as part of plans to expand their presence, will increase its capacity and also allow for the introduction of new product lines. In fact, it will also nearly double its manufacturing footprint, it added.
The Talegaon campus will be Danfoss’ seventh manufacturing facility in India; it has additional manufacturing facilities in Chennai, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bengaluru, and two in Pune. Danfoss stressed that the addition will also drive its sustainability initiatives, contributing to Danfoss’ commitment to decarbonise global operations by 2030.
“Our new state-of-the-art facility in Pune will enable us to better support local customers by enhancing our production capabilities and delivering sustainable solutions,” said president Daniel Winter.
“India is poised for tremendous industrial growth, and our investment will increase Danfoss’ capacity to support such growth. This new facility represents our commitment to India and to providing localized, high-quality solutions that help our customers succeed in a rapidly evolving market.”
The campus is set for construction completion in 2H26.
