Black Cat Syndicate has confirmed the first gold doré has been poured from Myhree ore mined at its Kal East gold project in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Pre-strip and ore production commenced on 26 July.
“Excellent progress is being made on all fronts as we continue the pre-strip and the gold production build,” said Managing Director Gareth Solly. “The first ore parcel has been hauled and processed at Paddington resulting in first doré from Myhree.”
The company said Myhree ore has been mined to 20 metres below the surface with waste removal now being prioritised. The Myhree open pit produced 78 kt of ore for the quarter ending 30 September with grade reconciliation to the block model as expected at this stage.
Ore mining and a 24-hour free-dig operation is underway.
