Guanajuato Silver president steps down

Mexico-focused precious metals miner Guanajuato Silver has announced that Ramon Davila is resigning as president and a member of the board of directors.

“I feel it is the correct time to move on from my daily operational duties as president of Guanajuato Silver as well as my duties on the [board], to spend more time with my family and other pursuits,” said Davila. “I am very proud of what we have built at Guanajuato Silver together with an exceptional team having accomplished many milestones in the last three years since I first joined the board of directors in May 2021 – at a particularly difficult inflection point for Mexican mining,

“I feel very confident having handed over the reins of operations to the experienced and capable hands of COO Carlos Silva that the company’s growth trajectory will remain on track. I will continue to be engaged with the company as an advisor and will always be available to the board and management to offer my operational and business advice.”

Guanajuato Silver is reactivating past producing silver and gold mines in central Mexico, and is currently producing silver and gold from its El Cubo Mines Complex, Valenciana Mines Complex, and the San Ignacio mine. It also produces silver, gold, lead and zinc from the Topia mine.
