SRK Consulting (Canada) announced that its geological mapping platform, HiveMap, has been acquired by Mira Geoscience.
HiveMap was developed by SRK to modernize geological and geotechnical field mapping, and enables users to efficiently collect, visualize, and interpret geoscientific data. The platform integrates with photogrammetry, LiDAR, and other spatial datasets, supporting consistent, high-quality interpretation across a wide range of project environments.
SRK said the acquisition marks an important step in HiveMap’s evolution. With HiveMap joining Mira Geoscience’s established portfolio of multidisciplinary geoscience technologies, the platform will benefit from expanded development resources, new integration opportunities, and broader global reach.
Both companies said they will be working closely in collaboration as the transition process moves forward.
“We are very pleased to welcome HiveMap into our technology ecosystem,” said John McGaughey, president at Mira Geoscience. “Its capabilities align strongly with our vision for practical, field-ready tools that connect geoscientific data and interpretation. We look forward to building on the foundation created by SRK’s development team.”
HiveMap will remain accessible at Mira Geoscience, where users can learn more about its capabilities and follow updates on upcoming developments. SRK and Mira Geoscience said they will provide additional updates as development and transition work advances.
