Metso to deliver filtration equipment to Indian project

Metso has received an order for sustainable filtration technology for Jindal Steel’s iron ore pellet plant in Angul, India. 

The order value, which was not disclosed, is booked in the manufacturer’s Minerals’ 2025 second-quarter orders received. 

“As a long-term supplier of Jindal Steel, we are honored to be selected once again, this time to provide efficient and sustainable concentrate filtration technology for their pellet plant in Angul,” said Vijay Dhar, vice president, Minerals Sales, Middle East and India at Metso.

“Our filters, featuring advanced membrane technology and hole-less filter cloths, deliver unmatched performance in terms of moisture reduction in the cake and filter availability. Jindal Steel uses Metso filters also at their pellet plant in Barbil.” 

The latest order includes six fully automatic Larox FFP (fast-opening filter press) 3512 filters, which are part of the Metso Plus offering.
