Sandvik has completed its previously announced acquisition of Universal Field Robots (UFR).
The newly added company, an Australia-based provider of autonomous interoperable solutions for the surface mining and underground mining markets, will be reported in Digital Mining Technologies, a division within the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions business area.
UFR has approximately 40 employees and is headquartered in Brisbane.
The acquisition was first announced in late August.
